We very much value the positive relationships we have with our parents and carers at Astrea Academy Dearne. We encourage parents and carers to get involved in the life of the school as much as they can. Your involvement makes a real difference and helps us to make sure that every scholar at Astrea Academy Dearne has the best possible experience here.
There are a number of ways you can get involved:
- Attend our regular parents’ evenings: We hold regular parents’ evenings through the school year and encourage parents to come along and meet your child’s teachers face-to-face.
- Attend our school events: We host a variety of events throughout the year, such as school performances and celebration assemblies. We love to see our families coming along to support the young people at these events. It’s also a great way to get a feel for school life here at Astrea Academy Dearne.
- Join the Parent Forum [if applicable]: Our Parent Forum meets regularly to discuss school matters and offer constructive feedback. It’s a great platform for parents and carers to have their voices heard and to make a difference.
- Join the PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) [if applicable]: Our PTA plays a vital role in fundraising and organising events throughout the school year. New members are always welcome!
